Northwest Federal Statistical Research Data Center

A partnership between the US Census Bureau and the University of Washington with additional support from the State of Washington’s Office of Financial Management. The Northwest Federal Statistical Research Data Center (NWFSRDC) collaborates with and receives oversight from research faculty in the University of Washington’s Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology and the Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences.

Part of a network of Federal Statistical Research Data Centers (FSRDC) around the country

This facility, located in the University District in Seattle, Washington, enables researchers to access restricted-use federal survey and administrative data.  Broadly speaking, there are four types of data available from numerous federal agencies: demographic data, economic data, linked business and household data, public health data.   These restricted-use data provide more geographic and personal detail than available in public-use data.   The FSRDC available data page overviews the data that can be accessed through the NWFSRDC.   Additional data not listed on this page may be available because a federal agency has recently agreed to release it to the network.  Contact the NWFSRDC administrator if you have questions about data availability and access procedures.
